Lake Mountain is a snow resort in Australia with modern facilities. It is the closest snow resort in Melbourne. The chalets provide picturesque views of the mountains. There are miles of cross-country ski tracks and toboggan fields. You can enjoy activities such as building a snowman or trying tobogganing. You can also take a cross-country ski lesson or have a snowball fight. Our bus takes you directly up the snow, so there’s no need for ski lifts or transfer buses.

Why Visit Lake Mountain?

Surprisingly, you can build a snowman in Australia. It is only two hours away from Melbourne. In addition to playing in the snow, you can take a scenic hike up to the summit of Lake Mountain and hire toboggans. This beautiful Alpine resort offers a chance to unleash your inner child, with direct transfer and entry included.

We return to Melbourne and drive through the Yarra Valley to visit a high-quality chocolate factory.

You can explore the lawns surrounded by the scenic views of vineyards, hills, and mountain ranges in the Yarra Valley, known for its wine production.

 Nature walk available at Steavenson Falls.

In the afternoon, you can go for a 700-meter walk to Steavenson Falls, one of Victoria’s highest waterfalls known for its spectacular beauty. The waterfall in Marysville was named after John Steavenson, an Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges who visited the area in 1862. The waterfall drops 84 meters into the Steavenson River Valley and is the central feature of the 190-hectare Steavenson Falls Scenic Reserve.

Lake Mountain is named so, but there is no actual lake present.

The Alpine resort, named after Surveyor-General George Lake, does not have a lake but instead features a mountain. Visitors can easily reach the resort, located 120 km northeast of Melbourne, without the need for transfer buses or lift passes.

Snow Play lasts for three hours.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy a three-hour experience with various activities, including tobogganing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoe walks, and even a snowball fight. Another option is to hike up to the summit of Lake Mountain for stunning snowy views.
