Itinerary

Day 1 - Perth - Kalbarri

We begin our coastal loop adventure by walking on the Greenhead Three Bays Walk. After lunch at Dynamite Bay, part of the Three Bays Walk, we drive on Indian Ocean Drive for beautiful coastal views. Along the way to Geraldton, we visit Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake, a popular attraction just outside town. Next, we visited the Natural Bridge in Kalbarri and leisurely walked along Castle Cove. We then stay overnight in the peaceful seaside town of Kalbarri, where the Murchison River meets the Indian Ocean.

There are no meals provided. The accommodation is Kalbarri Edge Resort Private Studio Rooms (with ensuite) or a similar alternative. The driving distance is 575km. The hike distance is 2.5km.

 

Day 2 - Kalbarri to Monkey Mia.

Start your day early to explore the stunning sights of Murchison Gorge, Nature’s Window, and the Kalbarri Skywalk. Experience the beauty of Hawkes head lookout in Kalbarri National Park, where water has sculpted its path through the sandstone. Witness vibrant bursts of colour during the wildflower season in spring. Take a break at the famous Billabong Roadhouse, a historic landmark that has welcomed visitors to Western Australia since 1962 (lunch and refreshments at your own expense). Next, visit the extraordinary Shell Beach and stroll along its shore, which is composed of tiny shells. At Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, you can stay right on the beach, surrounded by resident dolphins in the World Heritage Listed area of Shark Bay. You can also rent a kayak for a leisurely paddle (additional cost applies), relax on the beach or at the resort, or spot turtles, dugongs, emus, and kangaroos in the area.

Participate in abseiling with Kalbarri Abseil for two descents.

Day 3 - Monkey Mia to Geraldton.

This morning, we will meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins. We can take some incredible photos up close. We will also have the opportunity to explore the town of Denham and walk along the foreshore. Shark Bay has breathtaking views from the cliffs, where we might spot sharks, turtles, rays, and other wildlife. At Eagle Bluff, we can take some time to appreciate the beauty of nature. Later, we will stop at the Overlander Roadhouse for lunch, which guests must purchase independently. Our journey will continue south with photo stops at Galena Bridge and Coronation Beach. Finally, we will arrive in Geraldton and spend the night by the seaside.

The meals provided will be breakfast. The accommodation will be at Hospitality Geraldton Motel in private standard rooms with ensuite or a similar alternative. The driving distance is 385km. The hike distance is 2km.

Day 4 - Geraldton to Perth

Enjoy the HMAS Sydney Memorial in Geraldton with stunning views. Visit the Point Moore Lighthouse in Geraldton. Then go to Port Denison and walk along the foreshore and lookout. Continue along the Indian Ocean road and stop in Jurien Bay to walk along the Jetty. Next, visit the seaside town of Cervantes and have lunch at the famous Lobster Shack. Take a guided tour of their Lobster factory. Afterwards, go to the Nambung National Park and explore the strange and eerie Pinnacles Desert. Finally, relax on the bus and enjoy the scenic countryside views before returning to Perth, with drop-off starting around 6.30 pm.

There are two meals included in the package: breakfast and lunch. The driving distance is 465km, and the hiking distance is 2km.
